The Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC), along with other responsibilities, has the responsibility to implement and manage the structure of the positions of primary and secondary school teachers in the Public Service, Mainland Tanzania
In carrying out that responsibility, the Commission considers the instructions contained in various documents including: –
1. Service Development Document No. 1 of 2014 regarding the Service Structures of Teacher Cadres under the Ministry of Education and Technical Training;
2. Amendment “A” of Service Development Circular No. 1 of 2014. This amendment was prepared with the aim of including the National Technical Education Awards (NTA) approved by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) and the Secondary Teaching Degree from Dodoma University;
3. Service Circular No. 1 of 2011 regarding the procedure for changing jobs (Recategorization) / promoting government school teachers who have developed themselves educationally; and
4. Guidelines and other instructions to the extent provided by the Government.
STRUCTURE OF TEACHER POSITIONS
According to Service Circular No. 1 of 2014, the Structure of Teachers has four Cadres which are:-
1. College Instructors – Teachers with Teaching / Education Degrees who teach in Teaching Colleges;
2. Teacher Grade C – Teachers with Education / Teaching Degrees;
3. Teacher Grade B – Teachers with a Teaching Diploma; and
4. Teacher Grade A – Teachers with Teaching Certificate
NB:
Since, according to Article No. 2 of the Teachers’ Service Commission Act No. 25 of 2015, the Commission deals with Primary and Secondary School teachers who are in the Public Service, in this topic we will look at the Ranks and salary levels for that group only.
TEACHERS GRADE C (TEACHERS GRADE C) – (Graduate teachers)

According to Service Circular No. 1 of 2011 A teacher who is promoted after promotion he will be given a position corresponding to the salary he had before continuing.
For example
Senior Teacher Grade A with a salary of TGTS E advanced to Diploma level he will be changed to Mwalimu Daraja IB by level of the salary TGTS E, or advancing to the level of The degree will be changed to Master Grade IIC for salary level TGTS E So in order This teacher will not be returned to the position lower salary than he was receiving before develop yourself

- Closely related to the median are two values: the 25th and the 75th percentiles. Reading from the salary distribution diagram, 25% of the population are earning less than 735,000 TZS while 75% of them are earning more than 735,000 TZS.
